Breakfast catering,
three ways

Boxes for a table of ten. Platters for a boardroom. A staffed buffet for thirty and up. Same kitchen, same morning — whichever suits the room.

Most breakfast orders go wrong for one reason. The food is right and the format is wrong.

A boardroom of eight does not need chafing dishes. A conference of ninety cannot be fed from a platter on a side table. A site team starting at six needs something they can carry out with them.

So we do three things, and we help you pick between them before you look at a single menu. We cook from our Fairland kitchen and deliver across Sandton, Rosebank, Bryanston, Randburg, Fourways, Midrand, Woodmead and Sunninghill.

Breakfast catering — one

Breakfast boxes

One box per person. No minimum.

Each person gets a sealed box, built from one choice per line: a breakfast main, a pastry, an accompaniment, a cold cut, fruit and a snack. A drink can be added.

For early starts, travelling teams, split shifts and any morning where people are not sitting down together.

Request the box menu
  • Filled croissants, wraps and grilled ciabattas
  • Muffins, scones, Danish, waffles and flapjacks
  • Fruit salad, skewers or yoghurt with berry compote

Breakfast catering — two

Breakfast platters

One platter per eight to ten.

Eleven platters to set down and share, arriving on our boards ready to go. We collect the boards the same day.

The usual shape for a room is one savoury, one bakery, one fruit. For boardrooms, training rooms and team mornings.

Request the platter menu
  • Filled croissant, wrap and quiche platters
  • Pastry, scone and muffin platters
  • Fruit skewers, sliced fruit and granola yoghurt jars

Breakfast catering — three

Breakfast buffets

Thirty guests and up. Chef on site.

Five set buffets, from a full cooked breakfast to a continental spread built around a smoked salmon and cheese board.

Eggs and grill items are cooked at your venue, not reheated. For conferences, strategy days, launches and weekend functions.

Request the buffet menu
  • Full House — hot breakfast, bakery and cold table
  • Continental One and Three — pastry, yoghurt and cold led
  • The Warm Buffet and The Cold Table — alone or together

Breakfast is the one service where early beats on time

We build the delivery run around your start, not ours. Everything below is agreed before we quote, so nothing lands as a surprise on the invoice.

06h00

Earliest standard delivery. Before 07h00 is arranged in advance and carries a surcharge.

Day before

Head count confirmed. Small changes on the morning are usually fine. A doubled order is not.

Same day

Boards, chafing equipment and hot boxes collected. Nothing left behind in your kitchen.

Which breakfast catering option suits your morning

People arrive at different times

Boxes. Nothing sits out going cold, and whoever walks in late still gets a full breakfast rather than the crumbs.

Everyone is in one room for an hour

Platters. Cheaper per head than boxes, and a well-built table looks far more generous than it costs.

People need feeding before a long day

A buffet. The only option that puts hot eggs and bacon in front of thirty-plus people at the same moment.

You are not sure

Send the head count, the start time and the room. We will tell you which of the three we would quote, and why.

Vegetarian, Halaal-friendly and allergen requirements

Give us the numbers, not just the categories. Two vegetarian boxes out of forty is a different job to twenty out of forty, and we would rather prepare the right count than improvise on the morning.

We prepare Halaal-friendly menus on request, using Halaal-sourced ingredients where specified. We are not a certified Halaal kitchen and cannot guarantee full separation of preparation areas, so clients who need certified catering should tell us at enquiry stage.

Allergies and intolerances must be sent in writing before a menu is confirmed. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, egg, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish daily, so we cannot offer an allergen-free environment — but we can prepare and pass affected items separately when we know in advance.

Our kitchen operates under a Certificate of Acceptability and works to the hygiene standards in Regulation R638 of 2018, the national rules governing food premises and the transport of food in South Africa. Holding temperatures are logged for every delivery, in line with South African food safety practice.

Breakfast catering questions we get asked

How early can you deliver breakfast?

From 06h00 as standard across Johannesburg. Earlier deliveries are arranged in advance and carry a surcharge, because they mean a night shift in the kitchen. We need the name and number of someone who will physically be there to receive the order.

Is there a minimum order?

Boxes and platters have no fixed minimum — platters are made up by unit count against your head count. Buffets carry a minimum of thirty guests, because below that a buffet costs more per head than platters and feeds people less well.

Do you supply plates, cutlery and coffee?

Not in the food price. Crockery, cutlery, serviettes and a tea and coffee station are quoted separately, so you can use your own if you have them. Boxes are packed with a serviette and cutlery where the build needs it.

Can you cater breakfast for a hundred people?

Yes. Above roughly a hundred guests we recommend a supervisor on site, and for hot buffets an on-site chef is required so that eggs and grill items are cooked at your venue rather than held for an hour.

What makes a good breakfast catering company?

Timing and honesty about what is excluded. Any kitchen can make a croissant. Fewer can hold hot food properly, deliver before 07h00 across Johannesburg traffic, and tell you up front that crockery and staff are not in the per-head price.

How far in advance should we book?

A week is comfortable for boxes and platters. Buffets and anything over fifty guests should be confirmed earlier, particularly in the November and December run-up when we book out.

Choosing a breakfast catering company in Johannesburg

Most breakfast catering companies will send you a price list. The harder question is whether they can get hot food to your floor before your people sit down, on the one morning that matters.

We have run corporate catering across Gauteng for over ten years, from a registered kitchen in Fairland. Breakfast is its own discipline: the delivery window is narrower than lunch, the food degrades faster, and there is no second chance if it arrives at 08h15 for an 08h00 start.

So we quote the whole job, not just the food. Delivery, holding equipment, staff and collection are itemised before you commit, and the head count is confirmed the day before rather than assumed. If a different format would feed your room better for the same money, we will say so.

We deliver breakfast catering across Sandton, Rosebank, Bryanston, Randburg, Fourways, Midrand, Woodmead, Sunninghill, Fairland and the wider Johannesburg area, with Pretoria and Centurion on request.

Tell us the time, the head count and the room

Send those three things and we will come back with the right menu of the three, and a quote — usually the same working day.
