Book your conference

Send the agenda and the delegate count, and we will come back with a per-delegate quote the same working day.

How a conference day runs

We build the delivery and service times around your programme, not our kitchen. The times below are a typical full day; send us your agenda and we will match it.

Arrival07h30

Tea, coffee and arrival food set before the first delegate signs in.

Mid-morning10h30

A fresh break timed to your first session, not left out from arrival.

Lunch12h30

Buffet lunch hot and set out when the session breaks, not an hour before.

Afternoon15h00

Tea and a bake to carry the room through the last session.

Delegates forgive a slow speaker. They remember a cold lunch and an empty coffee urn at ten o'clock.

Most conference packages in Johannesburg come bundled with venue hire, which is no use if you already have the boardroom, the training centre or the hall. We price the food and beverage part of the day on its own, per delegate, so you can compare it line for line with a venue's catering component.

Everything is cooked in our Fairland kitchen and delivered to offices and venues across Sandton, Rosebank, Bryanston, Randburg, Fourways, Midrand, Woodmead and Sunninghill, with Pretoria and Centurion on request.

Add to any conference package

The packages cover the working day. These extend it, and are quoted per event.

A hot breakfast

Swap the arrival food for a breakfast buffet or breakfast boxes for an early start.

Boxed lunches

Individually packed boxed meals for working lunches and split breakout sessions.

Networking canapés

Canapés and finger food for drinks after the last session.

A bar

Mobile bars with bartenders through our sister company Jozi Bars.

Chef and staff

A chef on site for the lunch service, plus waiters and a manager for larger conferences.

Crockery and service items

Plates, cutlery, urns and service items when the venue does not supply them.

Which conference package suits your event

The Half Day

A workshop, board meeting or briefing

Two breaks cover a morning or an afternoon. Add the working lunch if the session runs over midday.

The Training Day

An internal training course

Four food points and a light lunch keep a training room alert through the afternoon.

The Conference Day

A conference or strategy day with external delegates

A fuller arrival, a proper lunch with bread and two salads, and a sweet afternoon break.

The Executive Day

A client summit, AGM or leadership offsite

Breakfast on arrival, premium proteins at lunch and dessert, best served with a chef on site.

Vegetarian, vegan, Halaal-friendly and allergen requirements

Send the dietary numbers with the delegate list. Four vegetarians out of sixty is a separate main at lunch. Twenty out of sixty changes the buffet, and we would rather plan it than improvise at the break.

Vegetarian and vegan delegates are catered for within every package. We prepare Halaal-friendly menus on request using Halaal-sourced ingredients where specified. We are not a certified Halaal kitchen and cannot guarantee full separation of preparation areas, so tell us at enquiry stage if delegates need certified catering.

Allergies and intolerances must be sent in writing before the menu is confirmed. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, egg, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish daily, so we cannot offer an allergen-free environment — but we can prepare, label and pass affected items separately when we know in advance.

Conference catering questions we get asked

How much does conference catering cost per delegate?

It depends on the package, the number of delegates and whether a chef and staff are needed on site. We quote one price per delegate, usually the same working day. Because it is catering only, compare it with the catering part of a venue package, not the full venue rate.

Do you cater at our own venue or office?

Yes. We deliver to offices, boardrooms, training centres and hired venues across Johannesburg and Gauteng. We do not supply the room, so you are not paying for one you already have.

Is there a minimum number of delegates?

Most packages start at ten delegates. Below that, platters or boxed meals usually work out better for the money.

Can you cater a conference that runs over several days?

Yes. We book multi-day conferences as one order and change the lunch each day, so delegates are not served the same meal twice.

What if the delegate numbers change?

Confirm the final head count the day before. Small changes on the morning are usually fine; a large increase on the day may not be.

Are staff, crockery and delivery included?

They are quoted separately, so a delivered training day does not carry the cost of a staffed conference. Delivery, waiters, a manager, a chef on site, crockery and service items are itemised before you book.

How far in advance should we book?

A week is usually enough for training days and half days. Book conferences with external delegates, multi-day events and anything over a hundred delegates earlier, particularly for November and December.

Conference catering Johannesburg: choosing a conference caterer

Most conference caterers will send a menu. The better question is whether the mid-morning break arrives fresh at ten-thirty or sits out from seven, and whether lunch can serve a full room inside the break.

We have run corporate catering across Gauteng for over ten years from a kitchen in Fairland, feeding training rooms, conferences, AGMs and year-end functions.

We quote the whole day, not just the food. Every break, the lunch, delivery, staff and service items are itemised per delegate before you commit, and if a different package would suit your programme better for the same money, we will say so.

We deliver conference catering Johannesburg-wide — Sandton, Rosebank, Bryanston, Randburg, Fourways, Midrand, Woodmead, Sunninghill and Fairland — with Pretoria and Centurion on request.

Send the agenda, the delegate count and the venue

With those three things and the package you are leaning towards, we will come back with a per-delegate quote and the menu — usually the same working day.
